Tutors make a long-term and indispensable contribution to everyday university life. As a teaching/learning companion, they support their tutees in developing the learning material and also advise them on organizational issues. Through their work, they not only impart expertise and knowledge, but also train their own professional, social, personal, and methodological skills. Apart from this, tutors relieve the burden on lecturers through their work, thus making teaching formats more flexible and forming an important link between lecturers and students.
The tutorial program intends to qualify both prospective and practicing tutors in such a way that they feel well equipped not only in terms of subject matter but also regarding methodology, for example in dealing with heterogeneous tutee groups, comprehension problems, or malfunctioning technology.
The program consists of various components to prepare tutors for their work in their own tutorials, lectures, projects, etc. The e-tutorial program is currently offered as an ILIAS learning module.
